About Online Overtime Calculator

We built the tool we wish existed: a lightning-fast, privacy-respecting overtime calculator that accurately accounts for every state's unique labor laws.

The Problem with Generic Overtime Calculators

Most overtime calculators on the web treat overtime as a trivial equation: Hours > 40 × 1.5. While that reflects basic federal FLSA standards, it fails millions of American workers and small businesses located in states with daily overtime laws.

For example, in California, you earn overtime after 8 hours in a single workday and double time after 12 hours (as well as 8 hours on the 7th consecutive day). In Colorado, overtime triggers after 12 hours in a workday or 12 consecutive hours. In Alaska and Nevada, daily limits also apply. Using a generic calculator in these states can leave hundreds or thousands of earned dollars unaccounted for.
